Storm vs. Cary Christian

NLC Storm 36 Cary Christian Knights 34

The New Life Storm overcame a sluggish start and pulled out a close comeback victory at home against the Knights of Cary Christian School. Coming off a hard-fought win in their previous game, the Storm came out flat, scoring only 2 points in the first quarter and trailing 20-12 at halftime. They responded with better play in the second half, and with the score tied late in the game Shelby Suffridge stepped to the line twice and hit 2 of 4 free throws to put the Storm ahead by 2. Shelby then blocked a shot on the Knights' final possession to preserve the win. Shelby led the team with 13 points and 12 rebounds, while Ele'Jah Carter had 3 assists and 5 steals.
