New Life Storm 30 Lighthouse Eagles 64
The Storm lost to conference rival Lighthouse Homeschool for the second time this season. The undefeated Eagles jumped on top early, taking a 21-2 lead in the first quarter as the Storm played tentatively. In the second quarter NLC began attacking better offensively and played even with Lighthouse for the next 2 quarters, but could not cut the Eagles' lead below 20. A Lighthouse scoring burst in the 4th quarter stretched the lead out to the final margin. On a night when the Storm's normal scoring leaders were off, Katie Patrick was a bright spot, hitting 4 of 6 shots - including a couple of tough fast-break finishes over taller defenders. Katie and Mary led the Storm scoring with 9 points each, Ele'Jah had 8 rebounds, and Emily grabbed 4 steals.
